While doing some freelance work for a pharmaceutical company, I was approached by my client to discuss the creation of a website and forum for disabled people, with a strong focus on accessibility. The client had heard from many of their customers repeat frustrations at not being able to find support systems or fellow people with similar problems in order to find solutions. Those website and forums that did exist often were difficult to use with screen readers or other assistive devices which added to the frustration.
To address these issues, I focused on creating a website that was very clear and organized, ensuring that elements were properly labelled and utilized for maximum accessibility.
